My name is Mary Kuettel and I am the owner of The Perfect Blend Lifestyle. I am a Certified Nutrition Coach as well as a Certified Personal Trainer with a specialty certification in Women’s Fitness. I am passionate about educating women and helping them mend their relationship with food.
A little more about me:
I am a wife, mom and bonus mom. Exercising was never my thing until Covid happened. My story is not typical but I am sure we can all relate in some way. I was skinny as a rail growing up. Since being born in the late 80’s and growing up in the 90’s/early 2000’s, skinny was in. It was all that you saw on TV and in magazines. I also didn’t want to get “bulky” so I avoided working out. And then my early twenties hit and I couldn’t eat “whatever I wanted” anymore. So I started the different diet trends. I’ve tried close to everything. From Keto to Gluten free to extremely restricting calories, you name it I looked into it. And it never worked. So I yo-yo dieted until I got pregnant with my daughter in 2019.
And then Covid hit. I was a new mom and absolutely terrified of what was happening in the world. So I had a choice to make: I could keep doing what I had been doing my whole life OR I could break the cycle and focus on my health. I, myself, got a coach and my eyes were opened to the world of Resistance Training and proper nutrition including Macros. And that was it. I had to know everything and anything regarding nutrition and fitness.
I wanted to specialize in Women’s Fitness because as a mom I understand the lack of time, lack of energy, and the feelings of guilt that come along with mom life. I understand working long hours and feeling like you don’t have enough time for yourself. I understand being confused about what to eat and how much to eat and what kind of exercises I should be doing.
